This Valentine's Day - "Share the Love"!!
joint donation drive with Homeward Trails and Lost Dog
Sunday, Feb 15, 11am-4pm

Homeward Trails and Lost Dog have many shelter partners, most of whom are in very poor, rural parts of VA, WV and NC. They have few resources and even fewer local adoptions, so these groups bring the animals to this area to find homes for them. This Valentine's Day, share your love with animals in need!, PetMAC, Homeward Trails and Lost Dog are doing a supply drive to help these shelters get much-needed supplies to get them through the winter and into spring.

Bring supplies by on Feb 15 between 11am and 4pm and receive 10% off any non-food item in the store for your own pets!! Additionally, you can purchase supplies at PetMAC to donate, including food, and receive 10% off. It's our way of saying "THANKS!" for helping the animals!!

Supplies needed are:
toilet paper/paper towels
large trash bags
big envelopes
stamps
paperclips
paper notebooks and copy paper
bleach
laundry detergent
clean towels, blankets, sheets
plastic crates - all sizes
food (canned and dry) - unopened bags only, please!
treats
rugs with no backing
collars and leashes
dog/cat toys

Pet Bereavement Discussion

Are you suffering the loss of a beloved pet? Does it seem like no one understands how you feel? Join mental health therapist Laura Brand-Ballard, LCSW, to talk about pet bereavement, some of the things you can expect from the grief and bereavement process, and some ways to help you get through it. There will also be opportunities, if you wish, to share your story with others who understand. (Also appropriate for caregivers concerned about the impact of pet bereavement on those for whom they care.)
